The heart of Downs Escape is its open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, creating a welcoming space for guests to cook, dine and unwind together. The fully equipped kitchen includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, two four-ring hobs, oven, microwave, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and everything needed for a self-catering stay, including cookware, crockery, glassware and cutlery. Complimentary tea, coffee, salt and pepper are also provided.

The dining table comfortably seats 8 guests, with an additional 4 seats at the breakfast bar, making it easy for larger groups to enjoy meals together. On warmer days, open the French doors onto the garden where an additional outdoor dining table and chairs provide the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or evening drinks in the fresh air.

After a day exploring Sussex, settle into the bright living area, complete with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and free Wi-Fi. Whether you're catching up with friends and family or streaming your favourite shows using your own Netflix or Prime account, it's the perfect place to relax and recharge.

The layout was perfect for our group, with plenty of space for everyone, and the en-suite bathrooms made a huge difference. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped, with a lovely garden for relaxing after busy days out. Parking was incredibly easy, even with several vehicles, and the location was ideal for exploring Shoreham, Brighton and the South Downs. We particularly loved how everyone had their own space while still being able to come together in the large kitchen and living area. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it for families, groups and longer stays.

Our Guest Promise

• We want you to arrive at a spotless home. If anything has been missed with the cleaning, please let us know straight away, and we will put it right as a priority. If we are unable to resolve it on the same business day, we will offer to move you to another property or refund you for the affected time!

Check-In

• We’ll send your check-in instructions via email and SMS at 3 pm on your arrival day for check-in from 4 pm, once your damage deposit/waiver has been paid.

Damage Deposit

• We work closely with our property owners to protect their homes and take damage deposits for all bookings. The day before check-in (or on the same day, if applicable), you’ll receive a 3D Secure link to select your preferred damage deposit option. The full deposit is simply pre-authorised on your card and released within 7 days of check-out if no breakages or damages are reported. Guests who prefer not to do a fully refundable damage deposit have the option of a one-off non-refundable damage waiver at a much lower cost.

Smoking

• To keep our properties fresh and clean for all guests, smoking of any kind, leaving traces behind suggesting smoking of any kind, or vaping (including e-cigarettes), is not allowed indoors. Please smoke on the street or patio area, if available.

Noise

• To help keep things peaceful for our neighbours, we kindly ask that noise be kept to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am. We want you to have a great time. A little consideration goes a long way to making sure everyone can enjoy their evenings (and get a good night’s sleep!)

• Not all properties can host hen, stag, or similar group celebrations. If you’re planning one, just drop us a message, and we’ll happily guide you to a property that can accommodate your group.

• Please note that call-outs due to excessive noise or parties may incur a fee.

Pets

• This property is not pet-friendly.

Check-Out

• Check-out is by 11 am. Unauthorised late departures may incur a £50 per hour fee.

• Before You Leave and as a consideration to future guests, please:

• Wash up the used dishes.

• Bag rubbish and use the correct recycling bins.

• Return keys to the key safe (OR) Keynest location.

• Switch off the lights.

• Close all windows.

• Turn down the heating.

• These steps help us prepare for the next guests and save energy; every little bit counts.

Age Policy

• The lead guest must be 21 or over. We cannot accept bookings where the majority of guests are under this age. If unsure, please contact us before booking please.

A Quick Note on Deposits and Property Care

• If any of the above guidelines aren’t followed, we may need to make deductions from your deposit to cover additional cleaning or damages. We hope that’s never necessary!
